Avoid at all cost, checked in, it’s supposed to be a spa hotel, 3rd of June and the pool is not in use, asked about the spa, was informed we had to
book it at a cost of €35 each for a two hour slot, but because it was after 4.00 we couldn’t book it until 10.00 am the following morning, when you have to be out by 12.00 from the hotel.
We had booked for dinner, what a disaster, salmon mouse, looked like dog sick, black hair in my wife’s salad, and the sirloin beef came cut up already, as tough as old boot leather.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, we got back to the room, Isle 4, found we had no water for a shower, went to get in to bed only to find it infested with bed bugs !!!!!
Reported it to the owner, he offered us another room, but we declined, I’ve never been out of a hotel so quick in my life
Update 14/06/2024
When we got home from our France holiday, we found that we had been charged for our stay at the Domaine de la Courbe.
I rang the hotel and was told that we would not be charged for our meal or drinks as compensation for the bed bugs. But as our booking was via hotels .com that it was on a no cancellation policy and that they would not refund us for the room we never stayed in, even though we couldn’t use it because of bed bugs, we complained to Hotels.com whom I have used for years to be told today. That there is nothing they can do about it, so I won’t be using them again either, absolute disgrace of a hotel, but shame on hotel.com for letting them get away with this and still promoting the hotel knowing their bed bug infested and ripping customers off

Rooms were modern and all facilities were clean, location is remote and quiet, the property is fabulous with lots of room to walk and enjoy nature.
Very peaceful. Had 1 dinner in the restaurant - food and service were excellent. The breakfast offered plenty of choices. Very little English is spoken here, they have just 1 staff member who is fluent. Regardless, all staff were extremely pleasant and helpful (thank you Google translate). The spa has amenities to use for no additional fee (sauna, jacuzzi) and I enjoyed an express facial that was relaxing and reasonably priced. Only suggested improvements would be adding a fan to each room (no AC here) and offering pool towels. Some updated pool furniture and small tables at the pool would be a nice addition.
