Good economic choice and great staff onside which helped me right away to change the room because of barking dogs next to me, had a fantastic sleep afterwards. Voir plus

Nice hotel with a great breakfast. Price for the night is good and details like tea and good soaps in bathroom gives it a 5

On my way from Frankfurt to Dordogne, I stayed one night at the Konine in Montceau. As I like sleeping with an open window, I asked for a room to the back of the hotel. The check-in clerk replied and said there was not a lot of traffic around the hotel anyway. When I my room, I noticed the receptionist had given me a room facing the street. Turned out that the street is rather busy, quite the contrary to what the receptionist said. Breakfast started at 7.30 I was told (Saturday morning). Came down 8.15 and found out that the buffet was more or less empty. Looked around for a table to sit: all free tables had cups and plates from ealier breakfasters still on them. Managed to find 1 of the 2 remaining empty tables. Went to the buffet. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, jams, milk - all that empty, except for the abricot jam. The person in charge was chatting at reception with the cleaning woman. I asked for some milk, the receptionist asked me to wait a moment. I returned to the buffet to find something I could load on my plate in the meantime. Sat down with my tea and fruit jiuce (both was still available).Waited for a couple of minutes, then went to the reception again. Receptionist told me "there still was milk in the coffee machine, but you walked away and I could not find you". I ignored the inappropriate tone, instead asked to disagree and pointed towards the empty jar of milk. "Oh, you want COLD milk!" - "Why yes, for the muesli." The young man grunted and went away to get me some milk, probably cursing me for being rude. All in all, the breakfast was a disaster. The room was okay. Maybe the young man at the reception was new in the job. If he was, I hope he has received some training by now. Would not like to stay there again. Voir plus
